Connecting the AlphaLiner to the Muller Martini Mailroom Production Control (PC) system improves the process for cost-effective zone production for newspaper and mailshot manufacturers.
In view of the prevailing economic situation, an increasing number of companies are deferring plans for new investments, with the focus instead increasingly being placed on measures to extend the product life span. Overhauling key processing components offers twofold benefits: production reliability is increased and mailroom efficiency receives a long term boost.
Muller Martini is offering its customers special deals on an upgrade program to coincide with the start of IfraExpo. This process involves equipment, in particular key elements such as newspaper conveyors, stackers and product feeders, being reconditioned by a team of experts. An inspection is carried out first to ensure that appropriate measures can be used to good effect. Specialists from Muller Martini will perform a thorough inspection of the mailroom and analyze retrofit and upgrade requirements. This provides a framework for planning and implementing measures on a customer specific basis. As a special offer in conjunction with Ifra, the inspections are waived with every retrofit order.
AlphaLiner Upgrade As well as providing a location for the unveiling of Muller Martini's latest generation of AlphaLiner models, this year's IfraExpo also saw the company showcase an upgrade for existing systems to 18,000 cycles per hour. This 20% increase in productivity is conducive to a very quick return on investment, and for a comparably low initial investment.
| Integrating the Mailroom Production Control (MPC) system developed by Muller Martini improves the process for cost effective zone production for newspaper and mailshot manufacturers and also supports easy importing of production data and rapid production preparation. The control system synchronizes the insertion process, including individual addressing and stack formation, with online printing of the top and information sheets. All this combined with an increase in speed to 18,000 cycles per hour makes the AlphaLiner the best insertion system in its class in terms of the price/performance ratio. |
