The heavy-duty NewsGrip-A chain ensures reliable and quiet running of high-performance rotary presses for individual and collect runs. Tight gripper spacing provides high output capacity at low chain speed. The patented, wide clamps grip each newspaper copy gently and accurately.
Two torsion springs ensure uniform tension across the full width. All products, from thin to thick newspapers, broadsheet, tabloid or quarter-folded copies, align themselves automatically as they are picked up by the grippers.
Flexible and stable The anodized aluminum chain rail sections of the NewsGrip-A are hardened for greater stability and to reduce wear. The modular elements can be easily joined, allow flexible line routing and require only a minimum of installation time.
Trouble-free pickup Because the conveyor is synchronized automatically with the speed of the traveling shingle stream, products are always picked up securely and reliably. The shingle stream does not require compressing or centering which eliminates the risk of smudging freshly printed newspapers.
Easy operation and supervision A control system monitors the synchronization of the conveyor to the shingle stream, the drive and all pickup stations. It also provides the interfaces to the press, the waste removal system, fire protection equipment and the master control system in the mailroom. Changeover to a new product is especially easy with the NewsGrip-A, requiring only one automatic adjustment at the pickup station. Also the control offers an integrated diagnostics system for preventive maintenance of the transporter. |
