“Alongside the good price-performance ratio, the impressive project management and optimum integration of the ProLiner into our innovative overall concept have also proven to be great hits,” explains Managing Director Armin Alt regarding his printing house's decision to purchase their first Muller Martini system, which is now installed in the company's new printing center, located in Eichenzell just outside of Fulda. Here, Parzeller prints daily newspapers with a total circulation of around 60,000 copies, weekly advertising journals with a circulation of 270,000 copies, as well as vendor supplied products. These are supplemented by perfect-bound and saddle-stitched printed products.

Separation of the Printing Press and the Mailroom In order to accommodate inserts, the main section is fed onto the FlexiRoll buffer system via the NewsGrip A newspaper conveyor, and from then on into the ProLiner inserting line, which features six insert stations, two stream feeders, two NewsStack stackers, two TABA top sheet applicators, shrink-wrapping, strapping and a Mailroom Production Control system (MPC). Armin Alt goes on to say that “thanks to the FlexiRoll buffer solution, it is possible for us to operate the printing press and mailroom completely independently from one another.” So even if one process is affected by a fault, the remaining processes at Parzeller continue functioning. “This saves both time and materials,” he stresses.
The Managing Director also provided several technical benefits of investing in the ProLiner: “The different chain systems offered by the ProLiner, NewsGrip-A and Newsveyor systems open up a host of different applications; the fact that the Newsveyor grips products laterally minimizes the risk of contamination and the ProLiner's superior MPC control promises a number of advantages.”

...Parzeller commission a high-performance Listo stacker from Muller Martini for its new printing center.
NewsGrip-A, Newsveyor and Listo for Commercial Products The link between different machine elements within newspaper distribution and print finishing is just one of the special features offered by the Muller Martini solution. In this way, commercial products printed on the new KBA Commander newspaper press are carried to the new high-performance Listo stacker along the same folder delivery as for newspaper products, via a Newsveyor shingle stream conveyor. From there they are then fed into the perfect binders and saddle stitchers.
