The SigmaCollator Is Now Easier to Operate
Concave and convex shaped, better accessibility, and a new control system – the SigmaCollator gathering machine, part of the SigmaLine, is now even more operator-friendly.

At the last drupa, Muller Martini presented the SigmaLine that caused a sensation. Presented as the first fully integrated and total industrial solution for digital book production in the world, it astounded the graphic arts industry. Because it networked all the processes together – printing, folding, gathering, perfect binding and trimming – it made even small runs of print products economic. The SigmaLine has become very marketable in this young, dynamic and growing market. There are now a number of full and partial lines used throughout the world today.

SigmaCollator: Guarding doors now have full length lifting handles which allows them to be opened even more easily.

Since its premiere in 2004, Muller Martini has steadily further developed the SigmaLine – such as for example with the autonomic job-change system. The most striking changes are those on the SigmaCollator gathering machine. It is impressive with its concave lower section and convex shape in the working section. This allows the operator to maintain an ergonomic posture. Guarding doors now have a full length lifting handles which allows them to be opened even more easily. Access to the machine is easier and faster from any point.

With Muller Martini's new operating concept, the SigmaCollator has now become much easier to operate. The new control system generation has been standardized and implemented consistently on all parts of the SigmaLine. The whole inline production is based on a continuous JDF/JMF workflow. The JDF needed for each job is generated by the Muller Martini Workflow System, Connex.
