VSOP Printing Unit at the Muller Martini Stand At the L110 stand in hall 7, Muller Martini will be exhibiting a VSOP printing unit to showcase infinitely variable size web offset printing and its potential applications. The VSOP web offset printing press features sleeve technology, meaning the print size can be changed quickly and easily, without the need to change all of the printing inserts – two light and handy sleeves are the only parts that need to be exchanged to change the print size. This is a real advantage, and particularly cost-effective, for print lengths that change frequently. Additionally, the VSOP allows companies to make use of the benefits of offset printing, which include low costs and super short procurement lead times for printing plates. By using standard offset printing plates, considerable savings can be made in comparison to other printing processes, such as flexo or gravure printing.
The VSOP from Muller Martini can be used as a flexible solution. Thin films as well as cardboard packaging can be printed with the VSOP web offset printing press.
Exhibition of Printed Products The Package Printing Zone (hall 12, stand V10) will give trade fair visitors an insight into how efficiently web offset printing can be used in the package printing segment. High-quality print products manufactured on Muller Martini web offset printing presses will be shown at this stand, plus visitors will be able to learn more about label printing and the host of potential applications presented by the VSOP for the flexible packaging segment.
Information on Safe Foodstuff Packaging Another highlight for this year's LabelExpo will be the information on printing safe foodstuff packaging using electron-beam curing, to be presented by Muller Martini at the stand belonging to printing ink manufacturer Sun Chemical (hall 5, stand E80). The stand will be showcasing industrially manufactured packaging that has been printed on VSOP printing presses by combining offset and flexo printing techniques. The printing inks on these items were cured by means of electron beams, meaning this procedure is especially well suited to foodstuff packaging, since the ink film is immediately cured all the way through. The result is a high-quality, low-odor and low-migration print product that has been manufactured under reliable production conditions, without the use of photo initiators or the emission of pollutants.
Come and see for yourself the benefits of this state-of-the-art offset technology from Muller Martini which offers infinitely variable print sizes changes.
