Extremely Short Setup Times Thanks To Optimized Processes
Quick changeovers are the key to cost-effective production. The Diamant MC Hybrid is entirely designed with that goal in mind. In photo book production the thickness constantly varies within a certain range although the height and width of the book block are the same. The Diamant MC Hybrid automatically adjusts to that without empty cycles or a change in performance. In the case of larger changes to book block thickness, it automatically changes over trim for trim. It continues production and products of different thickness are in the machine at the same time.

The Diamant MC is also the ideal machine for comprehensive size changes. Due to its high level of automation, the machine operator no longer has to take care of the machine settings, which are set automatically after just a few touches on the screen. Further installations, such as the pivoting glue rollers or the tandem lining station, also ensure fast changeover times. While books are produced using one lining station, the other station is prepared for the next lot of production. As soon as the first book of the next job arrives, this station takes over the lining.

Good Shape and Shape Retention
For books with straight spines, the variable rounding irons ensure short changeovers. In the case of rounded spines, the prewarmable rounding irons save a lot of time. The joint forming and pressing machine is also equipped with MC technology. That largely removes the need for fine-tuning and enables extremely quick changeovers between books with different spine shapes. Proven processes such as double backing and unique creasing and pressing have long been guarantees of a good shape and shape retention.
