Utilizing the motto "Creating Value," Muller Martini will present numerous world premieres at Booth D10 in Hall 5.
-The Pantera adhesive binder will be presented, making its world premiere. With this new adhesive binding system, several processes can now be flexibly implemented in the performance range of up to 4,000 cycles per hour. In addition to conventional hotmelt binding, PUR can also be processed. This is a great advantage, because PUR binding is becoming more and more popular, even in this performance range. The Pantera can be equipped with the versatile drum feeder and a gauze station. It will be shown in combination with the Esprit three-knife trimmer, which provides the highest trimming quality for the lower performance range.
-With the Bolero perfect binder, Muller Martini will be presenting an adhesive binder that has been extremely successful since its introduction at DRUPA 2004.Running at 8,000 cycles/hour, the versatile Bolero can be utilized for all jobs in the mid circulation range and can also be changed over to the next job in the shortest possible time...thanks to a high degree of automation. For the first time, the 3693's gathering machine and the Bolero’s cover feeder are equipped with barcode reaching for optimal quality monitoring.
-When manufacturing adhesive-bound products, the productivity of the three-knife trimmer is a vital factor in the efficiency of a binding line. The new Orbit three-knife trimmer will be making its world premiere at IPEX, shown in production for the first time. With its innovative SmartPress and trimming technology, as well as full automation, the Orbit three-knife trimmer is ideally suited for the upper performance range – operating at speeds of up to 7,200 cycles/hour.
-There will also be a premiere in the hardcover segment: The Diamant 30 short-run book line will be making its exhibition debut. This 30-cycle book line is consistently automated, and as such, it’s the right choice for small runs. The Diamant 30 is also ideally suited for companies that are entering the hardcover segment. With nearly all of its work stations taken from the tried-and-tested 60-cycle Diamant, the Diamant 30 produces books of equally exceptional quality. Diamant 30 users can respond quickly to changing market conditions, and furthermore, they can upgrade the machine to a Diamant 60 at any time, enabling significantly higher production output.
-In the saddle stitching segment, Muller Martini will be presenting the reliable Valore entry model stitcher. The Valore features touchscreen technology and can also be equipped with the SEMKO lateral thickness measurement control. The Valore will be demonstrated in combination with an automated punching machine from BOGRAMA. This combination provides manufacturers of saddle-stitched printed products with the capability for a high degree of added value. With an inline configuration of stitching-trimming and die cutting, a wide array of creatively die-cut, punched and perforated products can be produced efficiently...both in single as well as multiple productions.
-Muller Martini is reserving something extra impressive for demonstrating the PrimaPlus AMRYS (Automatic Make-Ready System) saddle stitcher: During the demonstrations, the production of a 16-page Muller Martini IPEX Special (A5-format) will alternate with production of the IPEX Daily (A3-format). The IPEX Daily booth has a JDF link for changing the machine over to IPEX Daily specs. Muller Martini experts will explain to visitors the advantages of a JDF link-up and also the benefits of continuous workflow.
-Muller Martini will present another example of the simplicity of a workflow network at the PrintCity booth.
-There will also be premieres in the press delivery systems segment. The new Preciso rotary trimmer, based on the proven Exacto rotary trimmer, provides numerous improvements for press delivery systems in the upper performance range. With its reliable scissor-cutting design, the Preciso trims shinglestream thickness of up to 13 mm. Among the important advantages of the Preciso trimmer are shortened makeready times as well as the capability for automatic makeready via AMRYS technology. For perfect bundle formation, Muller Martini will demonstrate the AvantiPlus bundle stacker – which offers a high degree of automation and perfect bundle formation, along with flexible options for palletizing. The MACOS job management system will also be demonstrated, highlighting another innovation for control of the entire system.
-In the printing press segment, Muller Martini will be demonstrating the new Alprinta-V web offset printing press. Alprinta-V was presented for the first time to labeling and packaging specialists last September at LabelExpo in Brussels; the machine was positioned as a cost-effective alternative to flexo printing. In Birmingham, Muller Martini will show that the Alprinta-V can do much more with its extensive application capabilities...and the production focus on the show floorwill be on commercial and direct-mail printing on paper. The wide range of machines being demonstrated will be complemented by video presentations from all segments. In addition, Muller Martini will offer tours to customers. Printing and binding professionals from throughout the industry are urged to come and see the many innovations that Muller Martini can offer. |
