The new Concepta equipped with five ink fountains for roll/roll, roll/fold and roll/signature production in 23 1/3 and 25 inch formats, as well as UV drying, remote color control, register control and a QS 52 sheeter will replace an older printing press from another manufacturer in Berlin-Hoppegarten. Managing director Wolfgang Stier has several reasons for choosing to use a Muller Martini solution there for the first time.

“First, we have had positive experiences with the Concept, installed in 2004, at our other plant in Freiberg since it delivers stable printing quality and faults rarely occur. Second, the Concepta will bring us numerous benefits such as higher production speed, shorter setup times, greater flexibility thanks to the stack delivery unit, and more stable production. In addition, we are also confident that the new Concepta ink fountains will deliver improved print results.”
Vordruck Leitverlag will chiefly print products for the banking sector (account statements) and the healthcare sector (forms) using the new Concepta, which the company decided to purchase at drupa and which is set to be commissioned in July. |
