Whether for the short-run field or for universal needs, demands with regard to streamlined processes, high quality and short makeready times are identical. With that fact in mind, Muller Martini/VBF built the short-run bookline based on the Diamant 60 machine design – a design whose history has been a continuous success story for five years.
Consistent Automation The Diamant 30 is characterized by high flexibility and efficiency. Consistent automation ensures that changeovers are made extremely fast. Size inputs for subsequent jobs are made during running production. Accordingly, data for repeat jobs is called up in advance. This occurs in an extremely user-friendly manner on the touch-sensitive flat-screen monitor.
Thanks to the AMRYS (Automatic MakeReady System) automatic adjustment system, the machine can be changed over for many productions without manual intervention. Fine adjustments can be made during running production at any time, via the practical HMI’s. The machine is thereby optimally utilized, and efficient book production at the highest quality standards is guaranteed.
Optimal for All Short Runs The Diamant 30 is the ideal solution for entry into hardcover production, as a replacement investment or to complement existing production systems. In order to remain flexible through changing market and production conditions, the Diamant 30 can be upgraded to a Diamant 60 at any time. And due to the doubled machine speed, this can provide considerably higher net production output if required in the future.
The field-proven joint forming and pressing design in particular was replicated identically from the Diamant 60. Thus, books produced on the Diamant 30 are of exceptional quality. What’s more, whether they are books with gilt edges, full-flap books, books with plastic covers or standard hardcover books – the quality is always the same.
