Alprinta-V with Infinitely Variable Size Offset Inserts
For production versatility, the Alprinta web offset printing press can also be equipped with a continuously size-variable insert system, complementing the conventional size inserts.  The design, configured as a wet offset insert, consists of a plate cylinder, blanket cylinder and an impression cylinder.  During a size change, the insert conveniently remains in the press and only the size parts, the blanket cylinder and the plate cylinder are changed. 

Fast Change of Inserts
The change is completed without any tools and without braking the web.  The size parts, which are easy to handle and extremely rigid, are engineered for the demands of the offset process and are also based on familiar design criteria. This innovative design is the basis for transferring the high quality of the Alprinta ink unit onto the substrate in high quality as well.

In less than five minutes, the Alprinta’s plate cylinder and blanket cylinder can be changed-out and the press is efficiently converted to a new size.  The size variability provided by the Alprinta was previously possible only in flexo and gravure printing.
