International Open House on 7 and 8 November 2007 in Felben: World premiere of new gathering machine
Under the slogan "Muller Martini – Master in all classes", an International Open House event is taking place on 7 and 8 November 2007 at Muller Martini in Felben. As the highlight, visitors will experience a world premiere: the new 3697 gathering machine with its revolutionary signature separation system will be presented in the Corona C18 high-performance perfect binding line for the first time.

Highlight of the International Muller Martini Open House in Felben: the new 3697 gathering machine.

This new solution stands out thanks to its innovative signature separation, which involves the signatures being peeled off the stack and securely fed out in a concave raceway. Combined with short setup times, high operating output and maximum feeder flexibility, it opens up new dimensions in shift output with offset and gravure products. The 3697 gathering machine will be demonstrated under production conditions in a line with the Corona C18 perfect binder. With this combination, Muller Martini promises the market a high-performance perfect binding line that is unsurpassed in terms of performance and quality.

Innovation prize for 3697 gathering machine
It is a well-known fact that a sheet of paper becomes more stable if it is bent. Muller Martini takes advantage of this in the separation process in the feeder and raceway of the new gathering machine. This gives you improved processing reliability and makes a higher production output possible. The ingenuity of this new, revolutionary separation system has also been recognized by the experts. The German printing industry recently awarded the 3697 gathering machine with an Innovation Prize in the print finishing category, which effectively serves to underscore this ingenuity.

Bernhard Niemela, Editor-in-Chief of "Deutscher Drucker" magazine (right), presents the innovation prize of the German printing industry in the Print Finishing category to Richard Bürk (center), Project Manager of the new 3697 gathering machine and one of the "spiritual fathers" of this new principle, and Rudolf Graf, Product Manager at Muller Martini Bookbinding Systems AG.

Pay us a visit at our Open House days in Felben and let us convince you of the advantages offered by this new solution! As well as the new high-performance gathering machine, the Pantera (for outputs of up to 4,000 cycles per hour) and Bolero (8,000 cycles per hour) perfect binding lines will also be shown working under production conditions.

The presentations will be held at the Muller Martini Bookbinding Academy in Felben on:

Wednesday, 7 November 2007 and Thursday, 8 November 2007,between 10.00 and 17.00 hours on both days.

Your local Muller Martini representative will be only too pleased to receive applications for the Open House.
