“Flexibility and Innovation as Competitive Advantage“
At the Muller Martini Open House at Koopmanndruck in Stuhr near Bremen, more than 50 customers from several continents came to learn about the advantages of the Concepta Web Offset Printing Press.


Visitors from all over the world followed with great interest the live demos on the Concept and Concepta Web Offset Printing Presses of Muller Martini.

“Flexibility and Innovation as Competitive Advantage” was the motto of the open house organized by Muller Martini and Koopmanndruck, the varnishing expert whose success is based on innovative mailing products. In his welcoming speech, Yves Rogivue, member of Muller Martini’s Corporate Management, referred to Koopmanndruck’s large product range by saying, “The trend is towards high-quality printed products with innovations such as scented varnish.”

Four printing demos on the eight-color Concepta and the ten-color Concept proved Muller Martini’s Web Offset Printing Presses to be the ideal solution for this purpose. A car mailing with special varnishing effects and remoistenable glue (7 colors) and a magazine cover with inline finishing were processed on the Concepta. The web and the printing color on two print units, the printing insert from flexo to offset printing on one print unit and all of the eight printing plates (4/4 colors offset) were changed during the job change. On the Concept, a watch advertisement with special varnishing effect (7 colors, drip-off) and a mailing printing with iriodin varnish (mother-of-pearl effect) were produced. 

Bernd Schopferer, product and marketing manager of Muller Martini Druckmaschinen GmbH in Maulburg, used the opportunity to highlight all the advantages of the Concepta compared to the predecessor model. He mentioned, in particular, the high printing quality, the low rate of printing waste, the rapid Make Ready, the new control platform and the high product variety – features all showcased in the four live demos.
