The new flexo printing unit with inline laminating station: The laminating station is mounted directly onto the flexo tower and therefore no extension of the machine is needed.
Muller Martini’s exhibit of size-variable offset printing technology attracted wide interest in occasion of the company’s first appearance at the 2005 LabelExpo. With the Alprinta-V solving the limitation in size variability, label and packaging printing houses have recognized the opportunity to produce their products cost-effectively through offset printing. Thanks to this improvement, Muller Martini sold several Alprinta-V, used in particular for the production of wrap around labels and shrink sleeves as well as for flexible packaging.
For Muller Martini Druckmaschinen GmbH, the success of Alprinta-V was reason enough to participate in this year’s LabelExpo with a booth of its own again (exhibition hall 5, booth number D65). Muller Martini’s sales representatives will demonstrate an offset printing unit and the rapid change function of its printing cylinders as well as the new flexo printing unit of an Alprinta 52V (maximum web width of 520 mm). The new flexo tower enables simple removal of the plate- and anilox sleeve, resulting in short change-over times.
From now on, thanks to two new developments – the inline laminating station and the non-stop matrix waste removal – many users will find the size-variable Alprinta-V Offset Printing Machine more interesting than ever. In the near future, not only will wrap around labels and shrink sleeves be produced on the Alprinta-V, but also self-adhesive labels for food- and personal care products, which are usually produced with little decoration but in large volumes. |
