Shortrun-Diamant: performance improved by over 16 percent
Muller Martini Book Technology has increased the performance of its shortrun book line from 30 to 35 cycles per minute. Cost-effective and perfect down to the last detail, the Diamant 35 produces the most varied of hardcover books. It is ideal for both bookbinderies and printing houses that want to offer a complete service.

Diamant 35: the most cost-effective shortrun book line on the market.

Using the new Diamant 35 shortrun bookline, a bookbinder can produce up to 2,100 books per hour. Compared with the previous model, the Diamant 30, this means an increase in productivity of more than 16 percent.

Oblong format books can be produced on the Diamant 35, as indeed can books only two millimeters thick or large format books, because it covers exactly the same size range as the Diamant 60. The most varied book shapes are possible, as it can also be equipped with all Diamant options. The production of books with flexible covers and flaps for example is possible.

best possible book quality, even at 35 cycles: all processes takes place with well-known high "Diamant quality".

Of course, the Diamant 35 still delivers the high book quality for which the Diamant range is known. Infra-red preheating, rounding, smashing, lining, casing in – everything takes place with the same quality-assuring processes as the Diamant 60. With the new shortrun bookline, the duration of the grooving of the joint and pressing procedures at top speed takes at least five seconds, but still with the proven, interruption-free pressing method. Using a quick, user-friendly touchscreen, the operator can carry out changeovers just like on the Diamant 60. And if necessary the Diamant 35 can be put into operation at 60 cycles per minute.

Apart from the outstanding book quality, the high level of automation is also most impressive – and guarantees the fastest changeovers and therefore maximum cost-effectiveness.
