News Press Delivery
Double-Stream Preciso Rotary Trimmer for Remy Roto S.A.
The Remy Roto S.A. printing house in Belgium has opted for an extremely flexible and highly automated press delivery system from Muller Martini: the Preciso DS dual-level rotary trimmer and the Newsveyor deserting chain transport solution.

The Preciso DS dual-level rotary trimmer offers reliable cutting in a small space, producing first-class trimming results.

The press delivery system, which will be installed in September this year, has been customized for the requirements of a new MAN Lithoman printing press and incorporates not only the Preciso DS double-stream rotary trimmer but also two Listo stackers and two Cohiba palletizer systems. Compared with the printing presses currently in use at Remy Roto S.A., the new press features double the paper web width (2060 mm) and double the cylinder circumference (1240 mm), thereby considerably expanding the range of products that the company can produce. Thanks to a second folder for both vertical and horizontal formats, the Rossel media group (based in Beauraing, Belgium and employing 44 staff) produces a great variety of products on the new equipment with only a small amount of production waste.

The new double-stream version of the Preciso increases flexibility in the press delivery system and requires less space. Situated one above the other, the two rotary trimmers process two independent shingle streams. The Preciso DS produces first-class trimming results in a small space thanks to its reliable scissor-cutting principle, and its setup is extremely flexible. The Amrys (automatic make ready system) also significantly reduces job changeover times.

This Muller Martini solution also makes use of the beneficial overhead Newsveyor deserting chain transport system. Deserting enables the fully automated separation of horizontally-oriented products without manual intervention and the introduction of the rotary trimmer. Delivery is therefore much more efficient and requires less space. The Newsveyor is especially suited to locations with little space and demanding transportation tasks. This means that the company's employees have excellent access to the printing machine and the press delivery system equipment.
