Traunsteiner Tagblatt (D): “ProLiner gives us all the options ”
“The fact that the ProLiner with its modular engineered design high product quality and can be upgrarded for higher performance were the determining factors when it came to choosing the ProLiner from Muller Martini,” states Thomas Miller, owner of the Traunsteiner Tagblatt.

The Trausteiner Tagblatt is the oldest and largest newspaper in the Traunstein district. It was established in 1855 as a weekly newspaper with four pages and is still owned by the Miller family today “Over generations the company has been built up,” recalls Thomas Miller referring to the company’s 150 year history. “And today we are the leading medium in the Traunstein district. In order to meet increased requirements, we pay particular importance to keeping technically up-to-date as possible. This is why we have chosen the ProLiner from Muller Martini because it leaves us with options open for the future.”

ProLiner – for efficient inserting
Those responsible at the Traunsteiner Tagblatt observed the prototype of the new inserting system at the Aargauer Tagblatt in Switzerland and were immediately delighted with what they saw. “In particular, the high product quality and safe inserting process without losing inserts, as well as its easy access and modular design, were important benefits of the ProLiner inserting system ,” remembers Thomas Miller.

Traunsteiner Tagblatt, a medium-sized business, is the first company in Germany to receive a Pro-Liner system. And, astonishingly, the modernisation of the mailroom in Traunstein is taking place before the removal of the older, existing printing press. Is that not a risk? – “On the contrary,” says Thomas Miller. “With the ProLiner we are prepared for current needs now and with its modular design  we will be able to increase the performance and adjust to press speed at a later date without problems. What’s more, the ProLiner offers the possibility to expand quickly into the insert business should the need arise.”

The ProLiner is installed with main jacket infeed via belts as well as four insert positions for loading commercial inserts. A new PrintStack CS-70 ensures the products are neatly stacked with an existing CS-70  used as a back-up.
Production is planned to start in October 2007.
