AlphaLiner: Higher Speed and Now with MPC Connection
The redesigned AlphaLiner newspaper inserting system from Muller Martini combines two key benefits in one package. The speed has increased from 15,000 to 18,000 cycles per hour in comparison with the previous model, and the flexible inserting system for the low and mid-range market can now be connected to the Muller Martini Mailroom Production Control (MPC) system, just like the high-efficiency ProLiner and SLS3000 inserting systems.

Connecting the AlphaLiner to the Muller Martini Mailroom Production Control (MPC) system boosts efficient production per zone for newspaper and mailing manufacturers.

This boosts efficient production per zone for newspaper and mailing manufacturers, and makes it easy for the MPC to import production data and prepare for production quickly. The control system synchronizes the insertion process, including individual addressing and stack formation, with online printing of the top and information sheets.

Due to its modular design, newspaper and mailing manufacturers can make a targeted investment in the AlphaLiner and add up to 30 feeder stations to it at a later date if market and production requirements change. This is made possible by the linear concept for the inserting systems from Muller Martini, which enables simple modular expansion options as well as optimum accessibility and production overview.

The AlphaLiner boasts a broad range of formats and also handles inserts that are larger than the main jacket. Along with commercial offers on the cover, regional reader information can also be positioned concisely in the designated area on the main jacket. Since the lettering module in the AlphaLiner is integrated, information can still be printed or changed on the cover right up until the last minute, immediately before insertion takes place. The printing area of the new inkjet module is almost the same size as the whole page, meaning that any inkjet system can be used.
