United Printing and Publishing (UPP), based in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, replaces its old newspaper mailroom system with Muller Martini technology. The order includes a complete mailroom system consisting of:

• five NewsGrip-A lines
• two SLS3000 inserting systems fed by three different NewsGrip-A-lines in press-to-hopper mode (directly from rotary press)
• five PrintStack CN-80 compensating stackers with TABA (automatic top-sheet applicator)
• Mailroom Production Control system (MPC)
• Ramp system
• a labelling system, which prints labels online before applying them

UPP will also purchase a Muller Martini press delivery system with Floorveyor conveyor system, a Compacto rotary trimmer and a Forte compensating stacker. As well as high process reliability and flexibility an important reason when deciding on these new systems was the extraordinary on-site service provided by Giffin Graphics, the local Muller Martini sales subsidiary.
