At its plant in Rosenheim, Germany, where in addition to the “Oberbayerisches Volksblatt”, with a circulation of 80,000 copies, several advertising newspapers and a large amount of commercial work are printed, OVB had previously used systems from another manufacturer. The company has now entrusted in a mailroom solution from Muller Martini to go along with its new printing press from KBA.
At the Rosenheim printing house, the ProLiner newspaper insertion system coupled with a CoLiner pre-gathering unit features two insert stations and can be easily expanded to meet changing market conditions.
This solution includes a NewsGrip-A conveyor in order to flawlessly transport the sections from the printing press to the FlexiRoll buffers. Decoupling the printing press and the print finishing process provides OVB with the highest flexibility in the production process. The supplements are inserted with a ProLiner inserting machine for the main and pre-printed sections as well as eight insert stations in addition to the CoLiner. The pre-gathering unit features two insert stations and can be easily expanded to meet changing market conditions.
Two identical packaging lines, consisting of a NewsStack compensating stacker and a TABA F top sheet feeder, transport the finished products to the ramp. The entire system is controlled by MPC, the controlling system from Muller Martini. |
