When customers order an Acoro perfect binder from Muller Martini, they are automatically supplied with a mechanical book measuring device for recording book data. However, with immediate effect, they can now order their Acoro equipped with a new electronic book measuring device.

The advantages are clear to see: when using a manual measuring device, the books have to be measured first and the data then entered on the Commander manually. Now the electronic book measuring device enables the operator to more easily define the measurements necessary for changing over the perfect binder and make them available in the form of retrievable electronic data. This not only saves time, but also brings with it increased reliability.
On the one hand, the data is recorded accurately and quickly, and on the other there is no risk of incorrect inputs, as the electronic measurements are transferred direct from the device to the Acoro's Commander control system. However, should it prove necessary, book data can still be entered manually and measured data overwritten.
The new electronic book measuring device can be located on a table or trolley specially designed for the purpose close to the perfect binder.
Measuring ranges The electronic book measuring device is able to measure book blocks and covers in the following size ranges:
- Book block spine length 100 to 510 mm
- Book block width 70 to 320 mm
- Book block thickness (compressed) 0 to 85 mm
