The in-line system with the Diamant Bookline guarantees a high level of efficiency, even in the case of small runs. With the Diamant Bookline the book manufacturer can produce standard hardcover books, as well as books with integral, full-flap or even plastic covers – all at top quality.

The following features ensure economic production when manufacturing hardcover books
- Short changeover times because of the high degree of automation
- Quality control systems ensure perfect products
- High output
- Book blocks are backed twice
- Commander for data transfer

Short setup times
Fast changeover is effected with the help of highly developed automation provided by Amrys, the automatic make ready system. Operation is by means of a touch screen via the Commander. In addition, the integration of the system into CIP3/CIP4 is possible. Using the Commander, the Diamant, consisting of RHE casing-in line and EP 680 joint forming and pressing machine, as well as the BLSD 650 book stacker are controlled and set up centrally.
High-quality rounding The spines of the incoming blocks are warmed up by infrared heaters so that they can be perfectly rounded. Furthermore in the Diamant the products are backed in two full wipes. This ensures a perfect rounding, a permanent and stable joint and an outstanding book quality.
Joint forming and pressing After casing-in the book obtains the final, permanent shape in the joint forming and pressing machine. Aside from the high process reliability, ease of operation, short setup times and low maintenance the very low power consumption also contributes to the overall efficiency of the system.
