See just how affordable shorter set-up times can be for the most widely used printing format of 70 x 100 cm: As a leading specialist for folding technology, MBO is continuing with its strategy of making automation affordable for all users. The new T 765 Efficiency Automatic buckle folding machine combines the attractive price/performance ratio of the Efficiency model series with the ease of use and short set-up times of an automated machine. The T 765 EA automates those components that account most of the set-up time on a manual buckle folding machine: fold rollers and buckles. The MBO's customary high level of precision also comes as standard: The accuracy of adjustment for the fold rollers is 1/1000 mm. And with the new MBO Vario-Control system offering outstanding ease of use via its touch screen interface, this machine is ideally suited to small print runs and rapidly alternating jobs. The T 765 EA is the third MBO folding machine from the "Efficiency Automatic" series. The company introduced the T 535 EA for the half-size format at Drupa 2008. This was followed by the K 765 EA combi folding machine in the fall of last year. Common to all three machines is the standard and cost-effective automation of the most important components associated with reducing set-up times.
Very easy to adjust
The new T 765 EA is controlled from a high-quality, 15 inch color touch screen. The MBO Vario-Control software is intuitive to use, which makes it extremely easy to set any folding imposition. The most common standard folding types are pre-configured in the “Quick Mode” and only have to be selected. In “Expert Mode”, however, you can configure every possible and usable variant. Simply enter the folding imposition and sheet format. The control system calculates everything else, such as the minimum sheet gap and an optimally adjusted speed profile. Even the positions of all non-automated components such as rails and side lays are specified as target values. Operating errors are virtually eliminated as a result. An optimized hardware design also ensures rapid adjustment across multiple folding units. In the event of malfunctions, the control system displays the location and cause of the fault in plain text.
The future is fitted as standard
The link to the future is already integrated: If required, the T 765 EA can be integrated into any existing workflow system with the aid of MBO Datamanager. This allows order data to be centrally managed, monitored and transferred to the folding machine. Conversely, production data can also be recorded and fed back to an MIS. The new MBO folding machine is also prepared for the RAS Remote Access. This allows the MBO service department to provide prompt assistance anywhere in the world – often without having to send technicians to the actual site. All in all, the T 765 EA is ideally equipped to handle a broad range of products reliably, swiftly and efficiently.
