IPEX: very pleasing outcome to trade fair
The outcome of the IPEX trade fair (4 - 11.4.2006 in Birmingham) proved to be extremely positive for Muller Martini: apart from the orders signed, the high quality of the visitors to this exhibition and the large number of new projects are regarded by the management at Muller Martini as very optimistic signs for the future.

Brisk activity dominated the MM exhibition stand.

With a show theme of "Creating Value", Muller Martini presented an impressive array of groundbreaking new products from various business areas under practical working conditions. A world first was presented to the softcover production sector in the form of the Pantera perfect binder (performance range up to 4,000 cycles per hour). And with the Bolero (up to 8,000 cycles/hour) another perfect binder for the medium output sector was demonstrated. In this line, the new Orbit three-knife trimmer (another world premiere) attracted a lot of attention.

Muller Martini also came up with another exhibition first in the hardcover sector: the new Diamant 30 short run bookline was demonstrated as the ideal machine for those getting started in the hardcover business. This 30 cycle bookline is automated throughout and therefore really intended for small editions.

CEO, Rudolf Müller (right) and Andreas Schillinger, Managing Director of Muller Martini United Kingdom, welcomed more than 40 journalists from all over the world at the IPEX press conference.

In the saddle stitching sector, the reliable Valore starter model was demonstrated in combination with aBOGRAMA inline die-cutter. With it, manufacturers of saddle stitched printed products are offered the option of a high level of value-added benefits. Muller Martini gave a live demonstration of workflow networking with the production of the "IPEXDaily" each day on a PrimaPlus Amrys saddle stitcher. Its networking partners were Tharstern (MIS system) Creo/Kodak (prepress and plate making), Komori (printing) and MBO/Friedheim International (folding).

Yet another world premiere presented came in the form of the Preciso rotary trimmer. Also, the Alprinta-V printing press, presented for the first time at LabelExpo in Brussels, provided further proof in Birmingham that it is a press with an enormously wide range of uses, and is just as ideal for commercial jobs and printing mailings as it is for producing labels.

The countless show visitors were clearly very impressed by Muller Martini's innovational strengths and the new ideas that it came up with in Birmingham.
