The Compacto trims printed products at full production speed directly at the end of the press. It can easily be integrated into the workflow of press delivery operations of medium-range, 8- to 32-page web presses. 

Precision trimming
The knife station features a segmented rotary knife with carbide knife blades. A scissor-type operating principle is used to achieve high trim quality. The blades can be adjusted and replaced individually. The upper knife can be sharpened in the machine. This patented system is unique and ensures superior trim accuracy because the knives do not have to be ground externally.

VibroTec shingle alignment
Neat alignment of the shingle stream is the basis for precise, square trimming. Products in the Compacto are aligned by the new, patented VibroTec centering device. A series of rollers loosens the shingle stream from the bottom which produces a floating effect. Products are thus centered neatly with much less pressure than with conventional methods.

Fast changeover
Makeready is very fast, which enables users to respond flexibly to market needs and to produce a wide variety of jobs. All set-up axes are motorized and can be adjusted in increments of one tenth of a millimeter by rocker switch.
