The Northwest Indiana Times, a Lee Enterprises, Inc. newspaper, added an 18:2 SLS2000R Inserter to their operation, which already houses a 24:2 SLS2000 installed in 1999. GMA will relocate this inserter, along with two (2) existing Muller Martini Biliner Inserters, to make room for the new machine.
The 12:1 Alphaliner for Western Newspapers Inc. will be installed at their Central Printing Facility in Golden Valley, Arizona. This media group is a family-owned partnership that operates 15 newspapers, a sign shop, eleven shopper guides, five real estate magazines, three commercial printing plants, two radio stations, a billboard company, an auto trader magazine, two phone books, seven direct mail publications and 27 websites. GMA previously installed a 14:1 Alphaliner with a CN-25 Stacker for Prescott Newspapers, a subsidiary of Western Newspapers Inc., in Prescott Valley, Arizona in 2004.
The Tampa Tribune expanded their existing GMA system by converting one of their standard single-delivery 14:2 SLS3000 Inserters to an 18:2 Dual Delivery machine. This order changes their system to one (1) 14:2 standard SLS3000 Inserter and three (3) Dual Delivery SLS3000 units (two 18:2 and one 40:2), and twenty-eight (28) AF300 Hopper Loaders.
On the international front, GMA has remained busy as well. In the past few months, GMA has finalized contracts with: Siegener Zeitung in Seigen, Germany for a 16:2 SLS3000 Inserter, Mannheimer Morgen in Mannheim, Germany for a 12:2 SLS3000 Inserter with six (6) AF300 Automatic Hopper Loaders, Toowoomba Newspapers in Toowoomba, Australia for an 8:2 SLS3000 Inserter with three (3) AF300 Automatic Hopper Loaders, APN Newspapers in Lismore, Australia for an 8:2 SLS3000 Inserter with three (3) AF300 Automatic Hopper Loaders, and Zero Hora in Porto Alegre, Brazil for a 3:1 SLS3000 Inserter.
