The Entire Mailroom at Your Hands… Muller Martini’s Complete Production Control Systems

(Allentown, PA, June 2008 ) - In recent years, newspaper packaging operations have evolved into highly complex revenue centers.  Many newspapers are in growing demand for tailored packages and direct mail programs that require a comprehensive, centralized system.

Offering two (2) distinctly unique and complete production planning and control systems for your operation, Mailroom Production Control (MPC) and SAM Plans, Muller Martini, continues to be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology for the newspaper mailroom.  Each control system integrates all phases of your mailroom operations and ensures that you have the most comprehensive, centralized control system for your inserting solutions.

Captivating the audience at NEXPO 2008 was Muller Martini’s new inserting solution, the ProLiner, which was unveiled for the first time within the United States.  Driving the system was MPC, which centrally controls and synchronizes the entire inserting and bundle building process.  MPC optimizes the mailroom process by coordinating, controlling and monitoring the process of one or more production lines.  The Windows based system provides operators with all relevant production data on a main screen of the control display, offering the operator a clear overview and simple control.  Production data can be exported from MPC and further evaluated in Microsoft Excel, where individual reports are easily generated for evaluation.  The ProLiner, thanks to the Mailroom Production Control system and its user friendly design, provides copy-exact feeding and an efficient zone production with its inserts creating the highest level of automation on the market.

What MPC is to the ProLiner, SAM is to the SLS Series of Inserter.  The production planning and control system software integrates with partner systems to gather critical information and formulate a cohesive plan that fulfills packaging and delivery requirements.  As part of the Naples Daily News recent purchase agreement with Muller Martini Mailroom Systems, Inc., they agreed to implement SAM with their new (2) SLS High-Speed Inserters.  This powerful tool manages all types of data, from traditional newspapers applications to household-specific packages, sophisticated distribution schemes and variable production windows.  SAM seamlessly integrates with Muller Martini equipment software, as well as with alternative providers’ packaging equipment, including Muller Martini’s entire LincsTM family, tie lines, conveyors, bundle distribution systems and palletizers.

MPC and SAM integrate your business management solutions.

Each system offers a comprehensive, centralized system to

coordinate information and product flow.
