Muller Martini, the world leader in print finishing innovation, has opened a new rebuild center in Allentown, Pennsylvania.  The 10,000 square-foot facility includes state-of-the-art capabilities for both rebuilding and refurbishing used equipment.  Through the company’s pre-owned equipment program, printers and binderies have the opportunity to purchase certified pre-owned machines at substantial savings.

Among the equipment available for purchase are saddle stitchers, perfect binders, press delivery machines and a diverse range of other Muller Martini technologies.  “Our pre-owned equipment is evaluated carefully and it is then meticulously brought back to its original specs by our factory-trained experts...in virtually every way the machines are just like brand new.  Plus, our rebuilt equipment comes with a 6-month warranty, installation is included, and we can provide in-depth training,” said Tom Duckett, Manager of the Muller Martini rebuild center.  “Best of all, our customers will have the confidence and satisfaction in knowing they’ve purchased Muller Martini quality and reliability while doing so at a lower cost.”

At the facility, machines that are rebuilt are stripped all the way down to their frames and each component is analyzed.  Worn parts are replaced and technicians make certain that the machines adhere to original safety standards.  Rebuilt machines are set up, carefully tested with products, and readied for demonstration.  The rebuild center also has the capability to paint any machine to match existing Muller Martini machine colors (red, green, blue and grey).

Refurbished equipment, which is typically newer, undergoes a detailed all-points analysis during which known wear-and-tear parts and other components are tested.  Parts are then replaced as needed and each machine is also given a thorough cleaning.  Muller Martini refurbished machines are backed by a 3-month warranty from the company.
