Muller Martini introduces new splitting saw and turnover belt for perfect binding lines

Muller Martini, the world leader in print finishing innovation, has launched two newly developed technologies engineered to enhance the performance of the company’s perfect binding machines. Muller’s new splitting saw 3502 and matching turnover belt 3605 increase efficiency considerably in two-up perfect binding production.

The new splitting saw, which trims products with maximum precision due to continual product feeding, can be adjusted fully automatically without the need for tools.  In addition, through the constant quality of the splitting cut, the subsequent three-knife trimmer can be quickly and easily set up.  Further advantages include: simple operation via touchscreen; long saw blade life thanks to integrated blade siliconization; and a large format range.

The new turnover belt can be directly mounted onto the splitting saw.  The belt is controlled using a touchscreen on the splitting saw.  Format changes and switches between turnover and continuous production are completed fully automatically.  The new turnover belt can also be used as a freestanding unit in a delivery section.
