PrimaPlus Saddle Stitcher

Automatic gathering, stitching, trimming, inserting, film wrapping, addressing and palletizing – the PrimaPlus Saddle Stitcher is a flexible production line tailored to suit all print finishing needs. It covers the requirements of a universal system for medium-range production.

PrimaPlus fulfills all the needs placed on a system for finishing printed products

  • Outstanding product quality
  • High level of automation
  • Very easy operation
  • Excellent net output
  • Selective binding capability (reader-specific product make-up)
  • CIP4 interface and higherl level control system

Higher added value
The PrimaPlus Universal system features full automation, in addition to great user comfort, for high efficiency and reliable production. The system is based on the Prima series of saddle stitchers, which has proven itself in the market and which, thanks to increased versatility, creates even more added value for print-finishing companies.

Intelligent control
With Amrys (Automatic make ready system), setup times can be reduced by up to 50 percent. This is of particular advantage especially for frequently changing job structures.

Precision trimming
The integrated three-knife trimmer in the PrimaPlus offers high sophistication for perfect product quality and stands for exceptional trimming results and long knife life. It is easy and quick to set up and uses the most efficient cutting sequence. The choice of center cut, trio cut and hole-punching capabilities offers an exeptional high level of production flexibility.

Flexible Tandem solution
The PrimaPlus Tandem operates according to the principle of “making two into three.” The tandem configuration consists of two individually operating PrimaPlus saddle stitchers with their respective feeder stations. In the case of jobs with only a few signatures, each machine is used separately. In the case of jobs with many signature sections, the two saddle stitchers are coupled together into one large machine via the tandem connection element.
