June 23, 2009 Open House showcases an all-new digital open integration solution that can increase efficiency and enhance profits for printers and binderies

Muller Martini, SoftSolutions and HIFLEX collaborate to enable print production operations to take full advantage of real-time JDF workflows and automated capabilities

The post-press savings that can be realized via automation, both in time and money, are compelling.  Now, an exciting collaboration has made those savings more easily achievable.  Muller Martini, the world pacesetter in print finishing innovation, along with SoftSolutions and HIFLEX, two cutting-edge providers of software for the graphic arts industry, have achieved a new benchmark in digital workflow.

Through the use of Muller Martini equipment and Muller’s CONNEX digital workflow system as well as SoftSolutions’ FLEX-OS data integration platform and HIFLEX’s MIS business automation systems, printers and binderies now have the ability to integrate their MIS functions and their post-press machines in an open architecture environment utilizing JDF/JMF – integrated workflow.  Production specifications can be electronically exchanged in real time, reducing or eliminating the need for costly manual data collection while also providing more accurate job costing reports, improved job planning, automated machine make-readies, accurate productivity reports and a reduction in errors.

On June 23, 2009 an all-day Open House at Muller Martini’s headquarters in Hauppauge, New York, will provide customers with a hands-on demonstration of this collaborative JDF workflow solution utilizing a Muller Primera E140 saddle stitcher.  In addition to saddle stitchers, the full JDF workflow can be implemented on virtually all new and many legacy Muller Martini print finishing machines including perfect binders, hardcover equipment, press delivery systems and other technologies.  No appointment is necessary for this 9am – 4pm event.

For further information regarding the all-day June 23 Open House, please contact your local sales representative or call 1-888-2-MULLER or visit the following weblink:  http://www.softsolutionsit.com/MullerMartini-Hiflex-June23.html.
