The versatile new electronic measuring station is available as optional equipment when Muller Martini customers order new Acoro perfect binding systems. The new measuring station can also be installed on existing Acoro systems that are already in service at customer locations.

Muller Martini Acoro perfect binders are currently equipped with a mechanical book measuring device – requiring the operator to measure books first to obtain the applicable data and then enter the data manually. Now, with the availability of the new electronic station, the operator will be able to more easily and more rapidly define the measurements needed for setup by utilizing the new station’s automated capabilities. Data can still be instantly retrieved and revised for changeovers.

Besides simplifying and speeding both setup and changeover, the risk of inputting inaccurate data is all but eliminated with the new measuring device because calculations are processed and transferred electronically direct from the device to the Acoro’s Commander control system. However if needed, book data can still be entered manually and electronically-measured data can be overwritten.

Muller Martini’s compact, cost-effective new electronic book measuring station can be conveniently placed on a specially designed table or bench within close proximity of the Acoro perfect binder.
The new measuring station can also handle a wide range of perfect binding needs, offering the ability to measure book blocks and covers.
