Bundling (often of finished products) into stacks and subsequent palletizing are highly automated today. However, the eventual loading of loose stacks onto saddle stitchers or adhesive binding machines requires more manpower than loading with rolls or logs. The handling of loose stacks for intermediate material handling offers the highest flexibility.
