The Fontana palletizer has been designed for palletizing printed products downstream of high-performance saddle stitching or perfect binding lines. Its advanced design greatly shortens the cycle time for the processing of stitched magazines, perfect bound books or newspapers in loose or packaged stacks.

Gentle transport ensured
An important advantage of the Fontana is the smooth acceleration of the stacks on the infeed belt. Servo controls allow the Fontana to gently accelerate and decelerate to the palletizing speed. This feature prevents jerky movements. The infeed table is equipped with air cushions to ensure gentle transport of the bundles.

All moving parts servo-controlled
With the use of a prestacking unit the Fontana can also palletize bundles of different heights which means that bundles sorted by postal code can be palletized reliably in optimized layers. The Fontana ensures gentle handling of the stacks because all moving parts are servo-controlled. This applies not only to the infeed belts, gripper carriage, portal and shuttle, but also to the optional slip sheet dispenser. 

Convenient operation
The Fontana is equipped with a user-friendly touch screen on which new jobs can be conveniently entered and stored. The data for repeat jobs can be quickly retrieved.
