Muller Martini can connect up to three book sewing machines Ventura MC to form a Connect system, facilitating the efficient, automatic production of thread-sewn brochures and book blocks. An impressively simple, yet efficient solution, enabling the manufacturing costs of thread-sewn products to be lowered significantly.
The principle: Signatures are gathered, stacked and then turned into thread-sewn book blocks – and all in a single operation.
Modular system The Connect system is designed in such a way that it can be operated efficiently in an initial expansion step with just a gathering machine and a book-sewing machine. Thanks to Muller Martini's building block principle, it is possible to expand the system at a later date by adding one or two more book sewing machines.
Reduced operating costs Operating and labor costs for the manufacturing of thread-sewn products can be reduced dramatically thanks to automation of the various steps of the process.
In-line or off-line production The Connect system has such a flexible design, that both in-line and off-line operation are possible. The buffer zone before each book sewing machine increases the system’s degree of effectiveness considerably.
