SLS3000 Inserting System

The SLS3000 is a fast and reliable inserting system that optimizes the production work within a tight time window that is so typical for modern mailrooms. It is characterized by high efficiency and is designed for the most demanding zoning needs as well as for the processing of a large number of inserts.

High flexibility and net throughput
The main sections are fed into the pockets of the SLS3000 inserter directly from the main section feeder. Over 50 feeders can be installed to feed inserts. Due to the unique pocket design and high feeder reliability, light products with only a few pages can be produced as easily as bulky weekend editions with up to 1,200 tabloid pages.

The machine’s modular design makes it possible to configure with 1 or 2 rolls, for speeds of 32,000 or 64,000 copies per hour.

Innovative feeder concept
The SLS3000 uses servodrive technology. Feeders can be switched on and off easily during production and synchronized with the pockets. The feeders allow scaleable settings, are simple to operate and can be adjusted while the machine is running production.

Missed Insert Repair System
A programmable miss-feed and double-feed detection system monitors the insertion process. The Missed Insert Repair System (MIRS) detects unopened main sections and processes these copies in a second pass. The reduction in both waste and manual interventions increases productivity and product quality noticeably.
