SigmaLine – the First Fully Integrated Total Solution for digital book production

The new SigmaLine is the first fully integrated, commercial-quality total solution for digital book production, with which even very small runs can be produced economically – from prepress data through digital printing and processing to the finished, perfect bound product.

SigmaLine – your advantages at a glance:

  • Economical production of small runs
  • Digital JDF/JMF workflow “Connex”
  • Integrated, continuous line control
  • Intelligent networking of all subprocesses – from prepress data through digital printing and processing to the finished product
  • Highest degree of automation
  • Industrial-strength design for multishift operation
  • Commercial-quality finishing of the end product
  • Comprehensive solution of Muller Martini

Amazingly simple operating principle
The operating principle of the high-performance system developed by Muller Martini is amazingly simple: prepress data is processed continually on the digital press. The web is printed on both sides, sheeted in-line, folded, and finished on an integrated perfect binder or saddle stitcher.

The job data from prepress is used for fully automatic makeready of the entire line. The Muller Martini SigmaLine revolutionizes the production capabilities of the small run sector. It opens outstanding opportunities and perspectives for entirely new business models.

Innovative solution
The SigmaLine makes systematic use of the advantages  of digital printing. It networks digital printing and finishing  in one unique overall system, enabling fully-automated production in one operation – from the roll to the completed book. Only this consistent integration and linking of all component processes – from prepress data to digital  printing and finishing right through to the finished product – enables short runs to be produced extremely quickly and economically.
