SigmaBinder: Perfect binding

The collated book blocks are perfect bound into softcover books in the SigmaBinder perfect binder. Thanks  to consistent automation, cost-efficient production of ultra-short runs with the SigmaBinder is a reality – in the most extreme case down to one single copy only. The SigmaBinder processes various book sizes and thicknesses without interruption, without empty cycles and at full production speed. Just as with all components of the SigmaLine, the robust design of  the SigmaBinder also allows use in multishift operation and guarantees reliable and reproducibly high quality  of the products.

Measuring station
In the measuring station upstream  from the perfect binder, the book data (size/thickness) of each individual book is recorded in pass-through and used cycle-precisely for the automatic adjustment of the perfect binder. The measuring station takes care of  the book blocks from the SigmaCollator but also serves for manual loading in stand-alone operation. Additionally,  it can also automatically take care of book blocks from third party digital printing and finishing systems.
