Iwaoka is First Off the Mark Again with Its Purchase of the Primera MC Saddle Stitcher

Muller Martini's long-standing Japanese partner Iwaoka is set to boost its mailshot business with a new Primera MC saddle stitcher.

Iwaoka commissioned Japan’s first Primera E140 a few years ago. Now, the innovative company in Tokyo is also purchasing Japan’s first Primera MC to supplement its current machine line-up. Masaaki Iwaoka regards the saddle stitcher, which is equipped with four flat pile feeders, stream feeders, Asir signature control and a Perfetto compensating stacker, as an “investment in the future”. The company president has not yet revealed what products it will be used to produce from November. “However, we want to strengthen our position in personalized mailshots and the Primera MC is the best choice for that business segment,” he indicated.

Iwaoka, which specializes in commercial printing, has been a partner of Muller Martini for many years – the family business currently uses two Primera E140 machines and a Bolero perfect binder. Rudolf Müller, Chairman of the Board of Muller Martini, therefore insisted on personally signing the purchase contract for the new Primera MC with Masaaki Iwaoka at drupa in Düsseldorf.
