Rotolito Lombarda Invests in a Third Corona C15 Perfect Binding Line

06/09/2016

Making two into three: Rotolito Lombarda has signed a purchase agreement at drupa for its third Corona C15 perfect binder to increase output at its plant in Pioltello and at the same time improve its production processes.

Two Corona C15 perfect binding lines are already in operation at the Rotolito Lombarda plant in Pioltello in addition to a SigmaLine digital book production system and a Pantera perfect binder. Rotolito Lombarda is now replacing the perfect binder of another manufacturer with a third Corona C15. This new line includes a 12-station gathering machine and a splitting saw, as well as two Orbit three-knife trimmers, a CB 18 book stacker and a Pluton palletizer, which means it has virtually the same configuration as the two other lines.

The new perfect binder comes with two key benefits for Rotolito Lombarda, which is active in the book and magazine market. On the one hand, it enables two-up production, which will increase output considerably. On the other hand, it also simplifies the processes for machine operators. Rotolito Lombarda has four more plants in Lombardy, where four other Muller Martini systems are in use: a Diamant book line, a Corona C12 and two Bolero perfect binders.
